Baglietto; cover, cost and conditions
For yachts between 20 and 50 metres, the sum insured is regularly higher than what an online application can cover. Up to 2.5 million euros you take out cover directly; above that we carry out an individual assessment. For the 40 / 48 m and DOM 133 / T52 model ranges from Baglietto this is the usual route.
The yard in La Spezia has been building since 1854. Several decades lie between the classics of 20 to 30 metres from the years 1960 to 1995 and the yachts of the DOM 133 / T52 range from 2018 onwards. The same rule applies to both: agreed value, indemnity with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
For third-party liability, a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is available, graded into Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Anyone crossing the border receives the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning and in transit.

From what sum insured is a Baglietto assessed individually?
Above 2.5 million euros. Up to that amount the policy is taken out online; above it we place the yacht in an individual assessment and agree cover and agreed value with you.
How do you handle a classic from the 1960s?
We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For older yachts an agreed value is set, and in the Premium tariff the age limit for full hull cover does not apply.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
