Two routes lead to a Gar Wood: the original from the build years 1925 to 1947, or a replica of the kind that has been built from 1990 to the present day. Originals and replicas differ greatly in value. That is exactly what the agreed value is there for, since it records the agreed amount before any loss occurs.
The Runabouts 22 and 28 come in lengths of six to nine metres. Their age is no obstacle to cover: in the Premium tariff full hull cover is available with no age limit, and claims are settled with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are included.
Cover applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while in transit, and the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. There is no time window and no night clause in the hull cover. Small production runs and home-built boats can be insured as well.

How is a distinction made between an original and a replica?
Through the agreed value. Originals and replicas differ greatly in value, so the amount is fixed before the contract begins and paid out in a loss with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Is a build year from the twenties a reason for exclusion?
No. We insure regardless of build year, place of purchase and previous owners. In the Premium tariff the age limit for full hull cover is also dropped, so even a Runabout from 1925 remains eligible for full hull cover.
