In North Carolina, Grady-White builds console and cabin boats between 5.5 and 13 metres with the SeaV2 hull, a continuously variable deadrise for a soft ride in a seaway. These are offshore fishing boats designed for trips far off the coast. That is precisely where the cruising range counts: anyone who regularly goes out 30 nautical miles and more needs the appropriate level and should think about emergency equipment.
On offshore fishing boats the equipment forms a value block of its own: rod holders, outriggers, livewell, radar, satellite telephone, diving and fishing gear. Personal effects are included with us at no extra premium up to 3 % of the sum insured of the boat, at least 1,000 € and at most 3,000 €. Anyone carrying more on board insures the excess for an additional premium; the fishing gear of an offshore angler regularly exceeds this limit.
