Under Marine the tariff covers fishing boats and console boats from international series production, boats that reach the market through dealers and DIY stores and are frequently traded without reliable manufacturer details. For the insurance this is precisely the point: without a builder's plate and construction documents, establishing the value is manual work.
What we need is straightforward: length, engine power, year of construction, purchase price with invoice. If the invoice is missing, a valuation report or a market comparison helps. Without a documented value there will be a dispute about the sum in the event of a claim; with a boat bought for two thousand euros, however, a valuation report is uneconomical. In that case third-party liability is the right policy, without hull insurance.
Third-party liability itself is unproblematic and can be written regardless of the origin of the boat. It covers personal injury, property damage and financial loss with ten to fifty million euros and costs from around forty euros a year. Check the CE marking and the builder's plate, both are relevant for registration, and a boat without CE marking may not be placed on the market in the EU.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
