On long passages, proof that foreign harbours also accept counts. We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. With aluminium cruising yachts from the Netherlands, which are built for long passages in high latitudes, that is a practical advantage.
Two model ranges are documented: the Nordia 55 / 65 Aluminium since 1995 and the Nordia Van Dam 70 / 80 since 2005, both up to the present day. The sizes are between 16 and 25 metres. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online, above that we assess each case individually.
Third-party liability forms the basis with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, selectable in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. In the full hull cover an agreed value is arranged and replaced with no deduction for depreciation. The hull cover has no time window and no night clause.

From which sum insured is taking out cover online no longer possible?
Up to 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online. With yachts between 16 and 25 metres this value can be exceeded, and then an individual assessment follows.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

Nordia 55 / 65 Aluminium is a sailing yacht from Nordia Yachts (the Netherlands), built since 1995, and today changes hands at between €890,000 and €2,200,000.
Nordia Van Dam 70 / 80 is a sailing yacht from Nordia Yachts (the Netherlands), built since 2005, and today changes hands at between €2,400,000 and €5,500,000.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
