With an inflatable boat, a large part of the value lies in the outboard. Selva Marine from Italy supplies boat and engine from a single source, so both belong in the insured value. Full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard, as well as vandalism, collision and grounding.
The programme comprises motorised inflatable boats from 4 to 8 metres, with model ranges that have been built continuously since 2005 up to the present day. For the premium, alongside the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range, it is above all the engine power that counts, not the brand. In this way every model is rated on its own data.
Boats such as the D. 540 are already sailing in our own portfolio. If the inflatable boat is moved on a trailer, the trailer is included at no extra premium, and cover applies during launching and on the road. Hull cover also has no time window and no night clause.

Frequent questions
My Selva outboard is only bolted to the transom. Is theft covered?
Yes, full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard, as well as vandalism. For that the engine should be included in the agreed insured value.
Selva supplies boat and engine together. Do I insure both under one contract?
Yes, boat and outboard are held together in the boat insurance, and the agreed value covers the total value agreed. The trailer is also included at no extra premium.

Licence

Series by Selva Marine, with value and cover
Selva D.S. 400 / 570 is an inflatable with engine from Selva Marine (Italy), built since 2005, and today changes hands at between €12,000 and €45,000.
Selva 630 / 750 is an inflatable with engine from Selva Marine (Italy), built since 2010, and today changes hands at between €55,000 and €120,000.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
