Terhi of Finland builds small boats from thermoplastic ABS instead of GRP, unsinkable thanks to foamed-in buoyancy, low in maintenance, widespread as a fishing and family boat on Scandinavian and German lakes.
With boats of this class the outboard is often worth more than the hull. It must be stated in the contract with its power and serial number, otherwise in the event of theft the hull insurance covers only the boat. Osmosis is not an issue with ABS, but repairs to thermoplastic are only possible with the appropriate process; state the type of construction when taking out the policy so that we can put you in touch with the right yard.
