We are an Assekuradeur; a managing general agent that underwrites and settles claims under its own authority. Our own claims department, appointed surveyors, more than 2,000 partner yards. Cover checked within 24 hours, release or a survey appointment within 48. We settle directly with the yard; you pay the deductible and nothing else.

A family firm since 1989, now in its second generation, with three of its own offices: Königs Wusterhausen near Berlin, Salzburg and Palma de Mallorca. No call centre, no franchise. You get a named contact from the first hour; and after office hours, a number somebody answers.

Can I insure with NAMMERT if I live outside Germany?
We serve owners in Germany, Austria and Spain; your berth may be anywhere in the world. For other places of residence please call +49 3375 / 29 12 77.
Is insurance compulsory?
Not on German waters, but you remain personally liable. Italy, Croatia, Denmark and Spain require third-party liability cover; Italy with €6,070,000 / €1,220,000 minimum limits.
What is an agreed value clause?
The value stated in the policy is paid on total loss without deduction for age or use; in the premium tariff without limit and adjustable at any time.
How do I report a claim?
Online in your customer account or by phone on +49 3375 / 566 75 05; as an underwriting agency we assess and settle claims ourselves.
