Two model ranges from Italy stand side by side here: the Airon 325 and 345 have been built since 2005, the Airon 4300 and 4800 since 2010, both to this day. The programme covers sports boats and small motor yachts from 9 to 15 metres. For older years of construction among them we agree an agreed value, so that in the event of a claim the value set out applies.
Airon hulls are built for the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The cruising range feeds into the premium, as do type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power. We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages, so that proof is available outside Germany as well.
In the Premium tariff the age limit for waiving the deduction for depreciation does not apply. Full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Taking out cover online is possible up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros; above that we examine the individual case.

Frequent questions
What role does the year of construction play in the settlement of a claim?
In the Premium tariff, none. There the agreed value applies with no age limit, and no deduction for depreciation is made. Ranges such as the Airon 325 have been built since 2005, so individual boats can be correspondingly old.
How quickly is the proof for use abroad available?
We produce the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. It is part of the contract and does not have to be requested separately.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

Airon 4300 / 4800 is a motor yacht from Airon Marine (Italy), built since 2010, and today changes hands at between €290,000 and €590,000.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
