Two motor boats are in the programme, the Stoner 20 and the Stoner 23, both built since 2018 and still in production today. Anyone taking over such a boat second-hand should establish the replacement value before taking out the policy, because in full hull cover this value is settled as the agreed value and is replaced in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Third-party liability forms the basis of every policy and can be chosen with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. For motor boats such as these, full hull cover extends protection to collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and does so with no time window and no night clause.
Both ranges have run continuously since 2018, so young and older units stand side by side in the fleet. The premium is never based on the brand, but on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output and the cruising range. In the Premium tariff indemnification applies without any age limit, so older boats remain equally protected.

How is the value of a Stoner 20 recorded in the policy?
Through an agreed value. The value that has been settled is stated in the policy and is paid out in the event of a total loss with no deduction for depreciation. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
Is the trailer for a boat from this yard covered as well?
Yes, the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. Cover also exists during launching, during craning, in winter storage and during transport.
