Worth knowing
Alaver; cover, cost and conditions
A single model range is on record, the Alaver Tagudo 34, built between 1984 and 1990. Anyone buying such a sailing yacht today buys it second-hand. For the insurance that is no obstacle, because we insure irrespective of build year, place of purchase and previous owners.
When buying second-hand, the question of the replacement value has to be settled. Under full hull cover this value is arranged as the agreed value, and the indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit, which counts particularly with a build year from the nineteen eighties.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros stands at the start of every contract, graded in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tariff levels. Full hull cover and limited hull cover can be built on it, so that even a sailing yacht with more than thirty years of use remains continuously protected.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does it matter that the Tagudo 34 dates from the nineteen eighties?
Not for access to insurance cover. The build year enters the premium calculation but does not rule out cover. In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit.
How does a yacht move to NAMMERT from a current policy?
Through the switching service. NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge and handles the formalities, so that no gap arises between the old and the new cover.

Series by Alaver, build years and cover
Alaver Tagudo 34 is a sailing yacht from Alaver, built from 1984 to 1990.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
