A single model range is documented from the programme: the Allegro 550, a sailing boat with years of construction from 2002 to 2008. Production therefore lies in the past, and every unit sailed today is a used boat. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, so that a boat passed on several times also comes into the contract.

With a sailing boat from the early 2000s the valuation decides the quality of the cover. Full hull cover runs on an agreed value and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. In this way the value agreed once remains the basis of settlement, even after many years.

For the premium of a sailing boat, sail area, value, year of construction and cruising range count, never the name of the yard. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with scoring status are to be stated when you take out the policy. An existing boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.

Frequent questions

Can an Allegro 550 still be written with full hull cover after more than twenty years?

Yes. The Premium tariff has no age limit in full hull cover. Indemnity follows the agreed value and is paid with no deduction for depreciation, regardless of how old the boat is.

Do races of the sailing club count within the scope of cover?

Club races are included from the Basis-Plus level upwards. Please state races with scoring status when taking out the policy, so that they are expressly taken into account in the contract.
