A single model range is recorded, the Aloes 25, built since 2022 and still in the programme today. No information is available on further model ranges. For a sailing boat of this kind the premium is measured by the sail area instead of by engine power, together with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range.
With a sailing boat the sail area replaces engine power as the calculation figure. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the premium never follows the make. Taking out the policy online is possible up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros; above that we examine the individual case.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and you declare races with scoring status when you take out the policy. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays with no deduction for depreciation, which includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. A boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.

Frequent questions
Does the sail area count towards the premium for the Aloes 25?
Yes. With sailing boats the sail area feeds into the calculation, with motor boats the engine power. Type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range are added. The make plays no part in the premium.
Are club races covered as well?
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards. You declare races with scoring status when you take out the policy, so that cover matches the actual use from the outset.

Aloes 25 is a sailing boat from Aloes, built since 2022.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
