Worth knowing
Automarine; cover, cost and conditions
Stolen fitted parts affect older motorboats just as much as new ones. For Automarine two ranges are documented, the Ghibli 20 and the Libeccio 19, both built between 1968 and 1976. Full hull cover covers theft of parts including the outboard as well as vandalism, collision and grounding.
Both ranges come from a short production period of around eight years that lies far in the past. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. The agreed value ensures that indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
A boat from these model years is not bought from its first owner. If a dispute with the seller or with a yard arises after the purchase of a used boat, the legal expenses cover for water sports that we also offer steps in. If a policy is already running, we cancel it for you free of charge under the switching service.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What happens if the outboard is stolen from the boat?
Theft of parts including the outboard is covered under full hull cover. If the entire boat is stolen, limited hull cover already applies, which additionally carries fire, storm and lightning strike.
Is there a night clause in hull cover?
No. Hull cover knows no time window and no night clause. That applies at the berth just as in winter storage, during craning and in transit.

Series by Automarine, build years and cover
Ghibli 20 is a motorboat from Automarine, built from 1968 to 1976.
Libeccio 19 is a motorboat from Automarine, built from 1968 to 1976.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
