Two model ranges have been running since 2016: the sailing boat Bonin 31 and the sailing yacht Bonin 358. Both are still built today, so alongside used boats there are also new additions to insure. In both cases we agree an agreed value in the contract for full hull cover.
Anyone taking such a boat abroad receives the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. In ports and during inspections the proof is thus available in an understandable form, without you having to request it separately.
The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, never on the brand. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, and above that we review the individual case. Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards.

Do I need separate proof of cover for a Bonin 358 abroad?
We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. It is part of the contract and does not have to be applied for separately.
Can a newly built boat of this model range be insured online?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, yes. Above that we carry out an individual review. In both cases full hull cover works with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Bonin 31 is a sailing boat from Bonin S.a.S., built since 2017.
Bonin 358 is a sailing yacht from Bonin S.a.S., built since 2016.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
