Worth knowing
Camara; cover, cost and conditions
For Camara a single model range is on file, the Bolero, built between 1995 and 2005. We have no further details about the yard, and we add none that cannot be substantiated. For insurance cover this makes no difference, because small series can be insured with us as well.
We expressly accept small series and home-built boats. Valuation is done through an agreed value that we set together with you, not through a price list. In the event of a claim we pay indemnity with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding and vandalism are included.
Third-party liability forms the basis, with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros depending on Basis, Basis-Plus or Premium. With a sailing yacht the sail area determines the premium, where with a motorboat engine power stands. Added to this are type of boat, value, year of build and cruising range, but never the brand.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Can a Bolero be insured even without yard documentation?
Yes. We insure regardless of year of build, place of purchase and previous owners, and small series and home-built boats are included as well. For the agreed value, details of the boat, its equipment and its condition are sufficient.
What role does the build period from 1995 to 2005 play?
It feeds into the premium through the year of build, but it does not limit the cover. The agreed value applies in the Premium tariff with no age limit, so that even a boat from 1995 is indemnified in full.

Series by Camara, build years and cover
Bolero is a sailing yacht from Camara, built from 1995 to 2005.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
