Worth knowing
Current Marine; cover, cost and conditions
For this manufacturer one model range is available, the cabin catamaran CM 46, built since 2018 up to the present day. No further ranges are recorded, and nothing is on file about the yard itself. A cabin catamaran is often moved over longer distances, and that is when the international certificate of insurance counts.
NAMMERT issues this certificate automatically in ten languages, so that it can be presented in foreign harbours and during checks. We record the cruising range in the contract and take it into account in the premium together with type of boat, value and year of build.
The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tiers. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard and pays indemnity up to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
In which languages do I receive the certificate of insurance?
We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. You can present it in foreign harbours without having to request it separately.
Does anything change in the premium calculation with a catamaran?
The type of boat is included as a factor, along with value, year of build, engine power or sail area and the cruising range. The brand plays no part in the premium in any case.

Series by Current Marine, build years and cover
CM 46 is a cabin catamaran from Current Marine, built since 2018.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
