Four sailing ranges are recorded: the Venus 31 as a yacht as well as the Euro 25, Solus 24 and Mascot 20 as smaller sailing boats. The construction periods run from 1971 to 1991. NAMMERT accepts boats from that period into the insurance without regard to year of construction, place of purchase and previous owner.
The further back the construction period lies, the more a sound valuation matters. In full hull cover NAMMERT agrees an agreed value and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old); in the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit. The amount of the indemnity is thus fixed before the claim even occurs.
Smaller sailing boats often sit on the trailer and are put into the water at the slipway. The trailer is included at no extra premium, and the cover applies during launching, during craning, on the transport route and in winter storage. Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff level upwards.

How is the value of a boat from 1973 determined?
Through the agreed value: you agree the value with us when the policy is taken out. In the event of a claim this amount is taken as the basis, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Does limited hull cover include damage in the hall?
Yes. Fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage are part of limited hull cover. Craning and launching are included as well.
