Worth knowing
Exoverken; cover, cost and conditions
Electronics and equipment belong in the schedule attached to the policy, otherwise they are missing in the event of a claim. Three model ranges are recorded from Exoverken: Exotic 28, Exotic 31 and Exotic 36, motor yachts of the years 1965 to 1973. Anyone who has retrofitted equipment should state this when the value is determined.
The agreed value follows from this schedule, and on its basis full hull cover indemnifies in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). In the Premium tariff it applies with no age limit, which can be decisive for yachts with a year of construction from that period.
Production ended in 1973, so today it is a matter of second-hand units. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners play no role for acceptance. Third-party liability is available with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does permanently installed electronics count towards the insured value?
It is recorded through the schedule from which the agreed value follows. You should report retrofitted equipment so that the agreed value reflects the actual extent of the equipment.
Is there an age limit for an Exotic 36 from 1968?
In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and indemnify with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").

Series by Exoverken, build years and cover
Exotic 31 is a motor yacht from Exoverken, built from 1965 to 1973.
Exotic 36 is a motor yacht from Exoverken, built from 1965 to 1973.
Exotic 28 is a motor yacht from Exoverken, built from 1965 to 1972.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
