One cabin catamaran is on file, the Island Spirit 36 from the years 1995 to 2002. No further model ranges are recorded for the yard. If you wish to bring an existing contract for such a catamaran over to us, we cancel the previous contract free of charge.
The switch changes nothing about the valuation of the boat: in full hull cover an agreed value is arranged, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without any age limit. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.
A catamaran with a cabin is also moved over longer distances. The cover applies equally in winter storage and during craning.

How does the switch to NAMMERT work?
You take out cover with us and we cancel the previous contract free of charge. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros cover can be taken out online; above that we review on a case-by-case basis.
Is there a separate tariff for catamarans?
The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area or engine power and cruising range. The type of boat enters in that way; the brand has no influence.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

Island Spirit 36 is a cabin catamaran from Fortuna Yachts, built from 1995 to 2002.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
