The level of the limit of indemnity in third-party liability is the first decision in the policy. 10 to 50 million euros can be chosen in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. For a sailing boat of the Number-One range or a Number Five the same framework applies as for larger yachts.
Two model ranges from the years of construction 1978 to 1990 are documented here, a sailing boat and a sailing yacht. Production has ended, which is why purchases today are purchases of used boats. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners and cancel the previous policy free of charge on request.
Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on third-party liability. Limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, while full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts, with an agreed value and no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").

Which tariff levels are available?
Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Third-party liability runs with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and in the Premium tariff the agreed value applies without an age limit.
What does limited hull cover include for an older sailing yacht?
Fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.

For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
