An agreed value takes the discussion about current market value out of the claim. One model range is documented, the Lusitania 48/55, a sailing yacht with years of construction from 1972 to 1980. For boats from this period the agreed value is the basis for compensation with no deduction for depreciation.
After eight years of construction, production ended in 1980. Anyone taking over a Lusitania 48/55 today buys used and often with several previous owners in its history. That changes nothing about acceptance: NAMMERT insures regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
For sailing yachts the premium follows the sail area, together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with official scoring status are to be stated when the policy is taken out. The hull insurance knows no time window and no night clause.

Frequent questions
What does compensation with no deduction for depreciation mean?
Replaced parts are not reduced proportionally according to age. The basis is the agreed value. In the Premium tariff this applies without any age limit, and therefore also to a yacht with a year of construction from the 1970s.
Do races have to be reported?
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards. State races with official scoring status when you take out the policy so that the scope of cover is unambiguously recorded in the contract.
