Worth knowing
Hunton; cover, cost and conditions
Hunton appears in our records with 15 models, twelve motor yachts and three RIBs, built since 1987. The H series from the H 37 to the H 55 and the older XRS models define the fleet, joined by tender RIBs and the Gazelle 43 from the nineties. Lengths range from 8.2 to 16.7 metres.
When insuring a Hunton, the specific model matters: with lengths of up to 16.7 metres, value and cruising area should be stated precisely. For the older XRS models and the Gazelle 43, hull cover with an agreed fixed value is recommended so the insured sum remains binding.
NAMMERT insures Hunton boats regardless of build year and place of purchase. You can calculate the premium in the online calculator in about 5 minutes.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
