Kent; cover, cost and conditions
Kent lists four motor yacht ranges: the 28, the 33 Cruiser, the 27 Classic and the Ocean 910. The years of construction run from 1991 to 2008, after which the ranges break off. Yachts from this period we cover with an agreed value, and in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit.
At the beginning there is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, selectable in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. It bears damage caused with the boat to persons or third-party property. The hull modules build on it and cover your own boat.
When setting off into foreign waters, some harbours require proof. We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. For a Kent 33 Cruiser on a cruise the document is therefore at hand without a separate application.

Why is third-party liability the starting point?

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
