No boat policy without third-party liability: with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros it forms the basis in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Two model ranges are documented for Kok Grundel, the Grundel Kotter and the Kok Grundel 900, built between 1971 and 1983. The same basis applies to both.
Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on this basis. Limited hull cover applies to fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
Both model ranges were discontinued in the 1970s and early 1980s. That is no obstacle to the contract, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The agreed value records the value, in the Premium tariff without an age limit for the compensation.

Why does third-party liability matter even with an old motor cruiser?
Because damage to other boats, installations or people occurs regardless of the age of your own boat. With us the limit of indemnity ranges from 10 to 50 million euros.
Does limited hull cover pay for storm damage at the mooring?
Storm is one of the perils in limited hull cover, as are fire, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Full hull cover goes beyond that.
