Between autumn and spring a sailing boat stands ashore, is craned and put back into the water. The cover from NAMMERT applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and in transit. For the Axion models and the Lion H 22 this applies throughout the whole break in the season.
Five model ranges are documented: Lion Axion 25, 33.5 and 40 as well as the Lion H 22, all from 2004 to 2021, plus the Corby 25 from 1998 to 2012. Production has ended and the boats change owner second-hand. NAMMERT insures regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
With sailing boats the sail area determines the premium, supplemented by the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards; races with a scoring status you state when taking out the policy, so that the extent of the cover is established.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
