Two model ranges are documented: the Romana 520 with years of construction from 2002 to 2008 and the Romana 460 from 2014 to 2021. Both are recorded as motor boats. When such a boat changes hands, the existing policy is often still running, and the switching service replaces it.
Our switching service takes over the cancellation of the previous policy free of charge. You give us type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, and we draw up the new policy. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online, above that we assess the individual case.
In the new policy there is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, and on top of it limited hull cover or full hull cover. The full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard and settles according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation.

Who cancels the existing policy?
We take care of that. NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge and coordinates the start of the new cover accordingly, so that no gap arises between the two policies.
Which details do you need for a quotation?
Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range are sufficient. The premium results from these details, and the brand of the boat does not enter the calculation.
