Two model ranges are recorded, the Pirana 90 and the Pirana 110, both with years of construction between 1977 and 1984. Production lies far in the past, and the boats are still in service. They are insured regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
On a yacht of this age, the agreed value decides the amount of compensation: the value agreed in the policy is replaced with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are included.
The premium follows the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range. For a dispute after the purchase of a used boat or with a yard we additionally offer the legal expenses cover for water sports. Third-party liability is available with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

Is a Pirana 90 from 1977 still accepted?
Yes. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not stand in the way of the contract. In full hull cover the value is agreed as an agreed value and replaced with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Is there cover for a dispute after the purchase?
For that we offer the legal expenses cover for water sports. It applies to disputes after the purchase of a used boat or with a yard.
