Four model ranges are on record, the Magic 31, 39, 44 and 49, built between 1991 and 1999. For sailing yachts we calculate with the sail area instead of the engine output, plus the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The brand itself has no influence on the premium.
Each of the four ranges is assessed individually, because sail area and the value that was set differ from boat to boat. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out cover online; above that an individual assessment follows. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus; races with ranking status you state when taking out the contract. Because production ended in 1999, the agreed value secures the value that was set, and full hull cover pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.

Frequent questions
Are race starts with a Magic 44 covered?
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff. Races with ranking status you report when taking out the contract so that they are taken into account in the contract from the outset.
Is a Magic 49 rated differently from a Magic 31?
Both are calculated using the same details: type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. Differences arise solely from these values of the individual boat, not from the range or the brand.
