Marine Offshore; cover, cost and conditions
Two model ranges are recorded, the Sea Cat 10 with years of construction from 1987 to 1994 and the Sea Cat 15 from 1987 to 1995, both as cabin catamarans. Further details about the yard are not available to us; for the contract the data of the individual boat count.
The cover applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route. Damage in winter storage already belongs to limited hull cover, together with fire, storm, lightning strike and the theft of the whole boat. An additional contract for the time ashore is not needed.
On the water full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. Compensation is based on the agreed value fixed before the start of the contract, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is damage during craning covered?
Yes, craning and launching are covered, as are the transport route and the time in winter storage. Compensation is paid on the basis of the agreed value.
Is a Sea Cat 10 from 1987 insurable?
Yes. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. We agree the agreed value before the start of the contract, and compensation is paid from it with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Series by Marine Offshore, build years and cover
Sea Cat 15 is a cabin catamaran from Marine Offshore, built from 1987 to 1995.
Sea Cat 10 is a cabin catamaran from Marine Offshore, built from 1987 to 1994.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
