Worth knowing
Millboat; cover, cost and conditions
Engine power is one of the details from which the premium follows, alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. For the Millboat 900 C, a motor yacht with build years from 1976 to 1982, what counts is therefore the machinery actually installed and not the name of the yard.
If the engine is replaced later, that belongs in the policy so that the details are correct. The full hull cover pays according to the agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are included.
On the country, size and orientation of the yard no details are available, and we add nothing. The only documented range ran out in 1982, so what stands on the market are used boats. We insure regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners and offer legal expenses cover for water sports alongside.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does an engine change have to be reported?
Yes, engine power is a premium factor, so a change of engine belongs in the policy. The type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range are untouched by it.
How quickly is the cover in place for an older motor yacht?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online; above that an individual assessment follows. An existing previous policy we cancel free of charge in the switching service.

Series by Millboat, build years and cover
Millboat 900 C is a motor yacht from Millboat, built from 1976 to 1982.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
