Four ranges are on file: the Portufin 6,25, the 7,20 and the 7,48 as motor boats as well as the Portufin Vela as a sailing boat, built between 2003 and 2012. Engine and sail are recorded differently in the premium, once through the engine output, once through the sail area.
The cruising range is added to this. Whether you stay on inland waters or travel along the coast is agreed in the contract, and the premium is set accordingly. If you extend your area, we adjust the cover beforehand so that no gap arises.
Hull cover knows no time window and no night clause. Full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts, limited hull cover fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. The agreed value is set when the contract is taken out.

Frequent questions
What has to be observed with the cruising range?
It is laid down in the contract and goes into the premium. If you plan a trip outside the agreed area, report it beforehand and we will extend the cover accordingly.
Are the motor and sailing versions calculated differently?
Yes. On the motor boat the engine output counts, on the sailing boat the sail area. Type of boat, value, year of build and cruising range go into the calculation in both cases.
