Worth knowing
Neuvisa; cover, cost and conditions
Two model ranges are on record, the Tarpon DV-62 from 2011 to 2017 and the Tarpon DV-65 from 2019 to 2023. Both are recorded as inflatable boats with an engine, the drive sitting on the transom. With us, theft of parts including the outboard belongs to full hull cover, as do collision, grounding and vandalism.
Limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
Both production periods are closed, the more recent range ended in 2023; no further details on the manufacturer are available to us. That plays no role in acceptance, we insure irrespective of build year, place of purchase and previous owners. The premium follows the type of boat, the value, the build year, the engine output and the cruising range, never the brand.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the outboard co-insured in the event of theft?
Theft of parts including the outboard is included in full hull cover. If the entire boat is stolen, limited hull cover already applies, with the agreed value arranged.
Does the trailer need its own policy?
No. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. You register it when taking out the policy, and the cover also applies on the transport route, during launching and during craning.

Series by Neuvisa, build years and cover
RIB Tarpon DV-65 is an inflatable with engine from Neuvisa, built from 2019 to 2023.
Tarpon DV-62 is an inflatable with engine from Neuvisa, built from 2011 to 2017.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
