A single sailing boat has come down to us, the GEM micro 18, built between 1977 and 1985. Small production runs and home-built boats are insurable at NAMMERT, and the value is set as an agreed value in the contract and paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
The production period ended in 1985, so every unit is correspondingly old today. In the Premium tariff full hull cover pays without any age limit, and we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat.
For the rating of a sailing boat the sail area counts instead of the engine power, along with the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range. Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff, a boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and cover also applies in winter storage and during launching.

Yes, we accept small production runs and home-built boats. The value is set as an agreed value so that in the event of a claim there is no discussion about the depreciated value.
What applies to a GEM micro 18 on a trailer?
