A yacht from this period changes owner second hand today. NAMMERT insures regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, so that the history does not stand in the way of taking out a policy.
When buying second hand, the question of the replacement value counts. Under full hull cover an agreed value is therefore set, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. For a dispute after the purchase or with a yard we offer legal expenses cover for water sports.
For the premium the sail area takes the place of the engine output, plus type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The basis of every policy is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, and club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff.

What should I look out for when buying a used yacht?
A robust value for the policy. It is set as an agreed value and compensated in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). For disputes there is legal expenses cover for water sports.
Does switching insurer stand in the way of the purchase?
No. The NAMMERT switching service cancels the previous policy free of charge. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the new policy can be taken out online.
