Worth knowing
R C Wood Marine; cover, cost and conditions
The sailing yacht Adams 45 is recorded over almost three decades, from 1972 to 2000. The years of construction of the units traded today are correspondingly far apart. When buying, the agreed value determines what is available in the event of a claim.
In full hull cover NAMMERT applies an agreed value and compensates with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are covered. We insure regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
If a dispute with the seller or a yard arises after the purchase, legal expenses cover for water sports can be taken out as well. What counts for the premium are the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.

Series by R C Wood Marine, build years and cover
Adams 45 is a sailing yacht from R C Wood Marine, built from 1972 to 2000.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
