Worth knowing
Rebel Boats; cover, cost and conditions
The Rebel 560 is the only recorded motorboat range, with build years from 2003 to 2013. Anyone who already insures it elsewhere today can switch without any effort of their own: NAMMERT cancels the old policy free of charge. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the new policy is taken out online.
In the new policy full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Limited hull cover applies in the case of fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage. The value is fixed as an agreed value.
Third-party liability forms the basis with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. The premium follows the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range. A boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How much effort does switching to NAMMERT involve?
The old policy is cancelled by NAMMERT free of charge. The new policy can be taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, above that we assess the individual case.
Does a year of construction of 2003 count against acceptance?
No, we insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit and pays with no deduction for depreciation.

Series by Rebel Boats, build years and cover
Rebel 560 is a motorboat from Rebel Boats, built from 2003 to 2013.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
