Secare-Boote; cover, cost and conditions
Two motor yacht ranges are recorded, the Secare 27 and the Secare 31, both in production since 2006. If you already have one of them insured elsewhere, you can switch without any effort of your own: NAMMERT cancels the old policy free of charge, and you simply provide the data of the boat.
After that, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is available for selection in the tiers Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. The full hull cover is added, works with an agreed value, indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and applies in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Because both ranges are built to this day, boats from around two decades lie side by side. What counts for the premium is the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.

Frequent questions
What do I have to do myself when switching?
You register the boat with its data and choose the tariff tier. NAMMERT takes over the cancellation of the old policy free of charge as part of the switching service.
Are newer and older boats treated in the same way?
The structure is the same. The year of construction is one of the premium factors, but it is not a ground for exclusion: we provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
Waters

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

Secare 27 is a motor yacht from Secare-Boote, built since 2006.
Secare 31 is a motor yacht from Secare-Boote, built since 2006.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
