Between autumn and spring a boat stands ashore, and precisely there limited hull cover and hull insurance apply just as they do on the water. At Stader Bootswerft the Carat cutter yacht in a sailing and in a motor version as well as the Toro are recorded, built between 1971 and 1982.
The cover comprises winter storage, craning, launching and the transport route. For the sailing version the sail area counts, for the motor versions the engine power, together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range in each case. The manufacturer's name does not enter into the premium.
All three ranges ran until the early nineteen-eighties, and a purchase today is a used one. Does the policy also cover the time ashore?
Yes. Damage in winter storage belongs to limited hull cover, and craning, launching and the transport route are likewise included. The cover does not end when the season ends.
Why is a distinction made between sail and motor?
Because with sailing boats the premium is derived from the sail area and with motor boats from the engine power. With two versions of one range this can lead to different premiums.
