Three cabin catamarans are recorded: Sylph with years of construction from 1982 to 1990 as well as Rigger and Vega from 1982 to 1989. Production goes back some way. For insurance cover this plays no part, because we insure irrespective of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
With a programme breadth of three ranges the question of small production series arises. Small production series and home-built boats are insurable at NAMMERT, as are boats with conversions, provided these are stated in the list underlying the sum insured. On that the agreed value is based, according to which indemnity is paid.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, supplemented by limited hull cover or full hull cover. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while in transit. In the Premium tariff the age limit in the full hull cover is dispensed with.

Frequent questions
Are conversions on an older catamaran covered as well?
If they are stated in the list underlying the sum insured, they are part of the agreed value. In the event of a claim indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation, new for old, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Which tariff level suits a boat from the eighties?
That depends on the desired scope. Premium offers the full hull cover with no age limit, Basis-Plus includes club races, and at every level third-party liability with 10 to 50 million euros is available.
