For sailing boats it is not the engine power that is decisive but the sail area. Together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range it enters the premium. For the Mini-Ton, the only range recorded for Venture Yachting, this sets out the framework of the contract.
The Mini-Ton was built from 1977 to 1984, and further ranges are not available. The boat comes into the portfolio second-hand today, which is no obstacle for us, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and small production runs can be insured too.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus, and you state races with scoring status when taking out the policy. Hull cover runs on an agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and also applies in winter storage, during craning and during launching. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
