Worth knowing
WASWA; cover, cost and conditions
Three motor yachts of the Eurotourist range are recorded, the Eurotourist 1 from 1988 to 2000 as well as the Eurotourist 2 and 3 from the years 1989 to 2005. On yachts with a long history of use, much of the value lies in permanently installed electronics and equipment.
Whatever is permanently installed belongs in the schedule and thus in the agreed value. This sum is set out in the policy and is indemnified with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Theft of parts including the outboard is covered through full hull cover.
Production ended in 2005 and the yachts are traded used. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners are no obstacle for us. For anyone switching from an existing policy we cancel the previous policy free of charge, so that no gap in cover arises.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the on-board electronics part of the insured value?
You include permanently installed electronics and equipment in the schedule so that they are contained in the agreed value and are replaced in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old").
Is there a fee for switching?
No. NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge and coordinates the start of the new cover so that no gap in cover arises for you.

Series by WASWA, build years and cover
WASWA Eurotourist 2 is a motor yacht from WASWA, built from 1989 to 2005.
WASWA Eurotourist 3 is a motor yacht from WASWA, built from 1990 to 2005.
WASWA Eurotourist 1 is a motor yacht from WASWA, built from 1988 to 2000.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
