Under the name Yacht Design one sailing yacht range is recorded, the Maru with build years from 1967 to 1976. The extent of the cover depends on the tariff level, not on the extent of the programme. Small series and self-builds are just as insurable with us as production boats.
For a sailing yacht we calculate with the sail area instead of the engine power, and in addition with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range, but not with the brand. The agreed value holds the value fixed, settlement is made with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
The production period of the Maru ended in 1976, she continues to be sailed. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route. The previous policy we cancel free of charge in the switching service.

Which tariff levels are available for the Maru?
Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Third-party liability lies between 10 and 50 million euros depending on the level, from Basis-Plus club races are included, and in the Premium tariff the age limit does not apply.

For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
