Between 1989 and 1999 four motor yacht ranges of Yachtwerft Lehmann were built, the Lehmann 47, the Lehmann 1000, the 1100 and the 1200. If you take over one of them and already bring a policy with you, you can switch to us: we cancel the previous contract free of charge and you remain insured without interruption.
After a second-hand purchase, a dispute with the seller or with a shipyard can arise. For that case we also offer legal expenses cover for water sports. The boat insurance itself applies regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, including for yachts from the nineties.
In full hull cover we hold the value as an agreed value and pay with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are covered, and cover also applies during winter storage and when craning.

Frequent questions
What happens to an existing policy when switching?
NAMMERT cancels the previous contract free of charge as part of the switching service. You take out a new policy, online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros and above that after an individual assessment.
Does cover also apply outside the season?
Yes. Winter storage, craning, launching and transit are included, and in the hull cover there is neither a time window nor a night clause.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
