Worth knowing
Zoomstar; cover, cost and conditions
Two ranges of inflatable boats with engine, the Zoomstar 430 and the Zoomstar UB 380, were created between 2007 and 2013. On such boats the outboard is a movable asset that is quickly unscrewed. At NAMMERT, theft of parts including the outboard belongs to full hull cover.
Full hull cover also covers collision, grounding and vandalism and settles according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation, new for old. Limited hull cover takes on fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. There is no time window in this.
No details on the country, the size and the orientation of the yard are available, and we add nothing. The premium follows the type of boat, the value, the year of build, the engine power and the cruising range. The boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and the cover applies during launching and on the transport route.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the outboard protected against theft?
Theft of parts including the outboard is part of full hull cover. Theft of the entire boat is already covered through limited hull cover, as are fire, storm and lightning strike.
How is an inflatable boat with an engine classified?
According to the type of boat, the value, the year of build, the engine power and the cruising range. The brand plays no part, and the tariff levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium are available to choose from.

What matters for inflatables and RIBs is the same across every brand; engine output, how a claim is settled, cruising range and theft protection. The class page lists every point and every brand in this class.

Series by Zoomstar, build years and cover
Zoomstar 430 is an inflatable with engine from Zoomstar, built from 2007 to 2013.
Zoomstar UB 380 is an inflatable with engine from Zoomstar, built from 2007 to 2013.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
