Canal du Midi
Between Toulouse and Sète there are more than ninety locks, many in the old oval shape with sloping walls. The canal is narrow, plane tree roots push the banks in, and usable depth varies with water management. What gets damaged are rubbing strakes, rudders and propellers, plus superstructure at the low bridges.

Berths, season and winter storage
The season runs from April to October, interrupted by the maintenance closures. Berths are available in the middle price band. Frost is rare but possible, so ashore storage is common. If you winter afloat, still drain the water lines and the cooling circuit.
