Galápagos
The islands are a national park and world heritage site. Yachts may use only certain anchorages and need a permit, a hull inspection for fouling and an agent. The anchorages are deep and holding is patchy, and sea lions come aboard onto deck and bathing platform. Sailing between the islands is not permitted without a permit.

Berths, season and winter storage
The area is accessible year round; costs are high because agency, fees and inspections are added. There are no berths as such, you anchor. Repair options are very limited.
What this means for your policy
Galápagos belongs to the cruising range for the Pacific and South Seas. Two points matter: whether your policy covers environmental damage and the obligations that follow, and whether salvage in a protected area is paid where only licensed operators may work.
