Cape Verde
Between the islands the north east trade often stands at six on the Beaufort scale and more, with a long swell. The anchorages off Mindelo and Palmeira are open and the holding is patchy. Theft of tenders and outboards is a real issue that experienced cruisers handle differently here than in the Mediterranean.

Berths, season and winter storage
The busy time is November to April, when the Atlantic fleet passes through; berths are inexpensive but scarce. Yards exist practically only in Mindelo. Damage here means waiting for parts from Europe, and that is the real cost driver.
What this means for your policy
Cape Verde belongs to the cruising range for the Azores and Cape Verde. Crossing the Atlantic from here needs a blue water or worldwide range. Check how your policy treats theft of tender and outboard when they are not secured on deck.
