Lycian Coast
Between Marmaris and Kekova lies one deep sheltered bay after another, where shore lines are almost always used. In the afternoon the wind falls off the mountains and veers as it does; a boat lying on its anchor alone then swings into the rocks. That is where this area's typical damage comes from.

Berths, season and winter storage
The season runs from April to October with berths in the low to middle price band. For winter storage the coast is a centre: the yards in Marmaris, Göcek and Finike are well equipped and much cheaper than in the EU. Many German owners therefore keep their boat there all year.
What this means for your policy
The area belongs to the Turkey cruising range. It matters that Turkey is expressly named in the policy, because it is not part of the EU and is excluded from some. Also check whether cover applies unchanged during a stay of several months in a yard.
