Three sailing yacht ranges are recorded: the Tradewind 35 with a build period from 1975 to 2006, the Tradewind 25 from 1985 to 2000 and the Cromarty 36 from 1991 to 1998. No information on the size or orientation of the yard is available. What is insured is therefore the individual boat according to its own data, regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
All three build periods are closed, and each of these yachts changes owner second hand today. Under full hull cover an agreed value is set when the policy is taken out, according to which compensation is paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff it applies without an age limit, which matters with a Tradewind 35.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros stands at the beginning of every contract in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, launching and on the transport route. Club races are included from Basis-Plus, and you receive the international certificate of insurance in ten languages.

How is a Tradewind 25 valued in the contract?
Through a value agreed firmly when the policy is taken out. It is stated in the contract and forms the basis of compensation in the event of a claim, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff it applies without an age limit.
Does the year of construction of the Cromarty 36 rule out hull cover?
No. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Limited hull cover and full hull cover are both open, and cover continues in winter storage, during craning, launching and on the transport route.
